Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations visited the "Juma" mosque in Shirvan on November 14.
During the meeting with religious figures working in the mosque, the Chairman of the Committee talked about the state-religion relations in our country and the care given to religious figures by the state administration. At the same time, R. Mammadov spoke about the priorities of the state policy defined by President Ilham Aliyev in the direction of protecting and promoting our national and moral values, and the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation headed by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva in this direction.
The Chairman of the Committee noted that the support given by the state of Azerbaijan to the development of interreligious dialogue creates favorable conditions for the joint activity of representatives of different religions. He emphasized that this cooperation and mutual respect between different confessions made an important contribution to the development of tolerance in the country.
Clergymen said that they highly value the care given to the religious field by the state, and that they are ready to actively participate in the promotion of moral values specific to our people.
