A meeting was held with religious figures working in Haji Javad mosque

On September 19, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, visited the Haji Javad Mosque and met with religious figures working there.
The Chairman of the State Committee spoke about the state-religion relations in our country and pointed out that the visionary political line founded by the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev has been successfully continued by the President Mr. Ilham Aliyev in order to ensure the national-spiritual unity of our people. He said that the protection of the historical-cultural heritage, national-spiritual values, as well as the restoration and protection of religious sanctuaries, material-cultural monuments is always in the center of attention in Azerbaijan. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation, headed by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, is taking important steps in the field of restoration and reconstruction of our religious monuments in Karabakh and East Zangezur, which were under Armenian captivity for nearly 30 years.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Committee, who touched upon the importance of the strengthening of national-spiritual solidarity and the harmonious development of mutual understanding in the society, noted that religious leaders have a great responsibility in protecting the environment of unity and properly propagating Islam.
Stating that the work done in the direction of the development of state-religion relations in Azerbaijan is of great importance, the religious figures expressed their satisfaction with the high level of freedom of religion in our country and the fact that they are covered by the state's care.
