The Chairman of the Committee visited mosques located in Mingachevir and Yevlakh

On December 10, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, visited "Heydar", "Zahra", Mingachevir village "Juma" mosques located in Mingachevir city and Havarli village mosque, Yevlakh region.
Ramin Mammadov said that state policy in the religious field is based on principles such as secularism, freedom of conscience and religious belief, and equality of religions during a meeting with religious figures working in places of worship. Emphasizing that the successful policy implemented by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev played an important role in the development of the culture of religious tolerance, R. Mammadov said that the activity of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is of great importance in the promotion of multicultural traditions.
The Chairman of the State Committee shared his views on the role of religion in society and the promotion of religious tolerance, emphasizing the importance of the state's support to religious communities. The chairman of the committee drew attention to the fact that clergymen should base their activities on the traditions of tolerance in Azerbaijan, the promotion of our national and moral values, and the principles of statehood and patriotism.
During the meeting, R. Mammadov noted that such visits aim to study the activities of religious communities and their needs, as well as that they are important in terms of further strengthening cooperation between religious communities and the state.
Clergymen who expressed their opinions and suggestions on various issues expressed their satisfaction with the high level of freedom of religious belief in our country and the care given to religious communities.
