The participants of the Baku Global Summit of World Religious Leaders, held under the slogan "World religions for a green planet" within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, visited Khankendi.
The guests toured the city of Khankendi. The participants of the summit were informed about the city, as well as the construction works carried out here. Eldar Seyidov, the deputy special representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Agdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand regions, said that the buildings whose exteriors were changed by the separatists during the occupation are being returned to their original appearance, and restoration works are being carried out in the buildings.
It should be noted that the Global Summit of Religious Leaders held in Baku on November 5-6 was attended by state, scientific and religious figures representing 55 countries and 30 international organizations, heads of influential religious centers, as well as media representatives.
