Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, met with religious figures on November 14 at the Shirvan City Mosque.
At the meeting, Chairman of the State Committee shared his views on inter-religious relations, traditions of tolerance, promotion of our national and moral values in Azerbaijan. He said that the model of tolerance of our country, the essence of religious tolerance should be properly conveyed to the public, as well as statehood and patriotism should form the basis of the activity of religious figures.
Ramin Mammadov noted that state-religion relations and inter-religious relations in Azerbaijan are built on a sound foundation. This is one of the priority areas of state policy.
Clergymen emphasized the great importance of the support of the Azerbaijani state to religion and religious communities. At the meeting, the proposals of the clergy were listened to and opinions were exchanged on the work to be done.
