On July 24, Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, visited the "Saint Jen-Mironotsits" Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Baku.
In a meeting with the Bishop of Baku and Azerbaijan, Ramin Mammadov wished success to the clergyman in his new activity. As a continuation of the tradition founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, he talked about the high attention and care given to religious denominations in our country, the work done in the field of protecting their spiritual heritage, and the policy implemented by President Ilham Aliyev in this direction. Bishop Alexiy of Baku and Azerbaijan emphasized the role played by Azerbaijan in the promotion of interreligious dialogue, tolerance, and the development of multicultural values.
In the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the issues of cooperation and its development prospects.
