Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations came to the mosque of Garachukhur settlement in Surakhani district and met with the religious figures working there.
During the conversation, Chairman of the Committee talked about the work done in the direction of the development of state-religion relations in our country, the care given to the representatives of different communities and their places of religious worship from a confessional point of view. He said that according to the initiative and instructions of the head of state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who always focuses on the protection and development of our national and spiritual values, dozens of mosques, religious temples, historical monuments, and sanctuaries were built, restored or rebuilt in our various regions.
Bringing the recommendations to the attention of religious figures, R. Mammadov called on them to participate more actively in presenting the ideas of the Islamic religion such as peace, tranquility, humanity and solidarity to the society as it is, as well as in promoting the traditions of national unity, spiritual values, and humanist ideology specific to our people.
At the meeting, the proposals of the clergy were listened to, and ideas were exchanged on the future work related to the religious field.
