Chairman of the State Committee visited mosques in Nakhchivan

Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations   Ramin Mammadov visited the Heydar Mosque Complex, Jame, Sarvanlar and Kazim Garabekir Pasha mosques in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Ramin Mammadov stressed that our state always pays attention to the protection of the historical and cultural heritage, national and spiritual values, restoration of religious places of worship and material and cultural monuments. He said that this valuable tradition, founded by the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev. The chairman of the committee also noted that Islamic values in Azerbaijan are an integral part of national values built on very solid foundations. As in all areas, measures are being continued in the direction of protecting our national and moral values. He emphasized that not only mosques, but also houses of worship belonging to other religions are treated with care in our country, and special attention is paid to their preservation and repair. R. Mammadov spoke about the work done in the direction of the development of state-religion relations in our country, and the traditions of tolerance specific to our people. He said that multiculturalism, which has deep historical roots and has developed to this day and has become a daily lifestyle of our society, constitutes one of the main directions of state policy in Azerbaijan. The state pays attention and care to the representatives of different communities, financial aid is allocated to religious institutions every year in order to support the activity of confessions, protect ethnic-religious diversity in society and further develop multicultural values.
Clergymen working in places of worship expressed their gratitude for the continuous attention and care shown at the state level to the development of national-spiritual values and traditions of unity.
