A meeting was held with students admitted to the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology and Baku Theological College

On September 30, a meeting was held with students admitted to the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) and Baku Theological College (BTC) for the academic year 2024/2025.
The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations congratulated the students and wished them success. He said that as citizens of a victorious state, each of us has important tasks for the further strengthening of Azerbaijan. He emphasized that he believed that the young people who started studying at AIT and BTC would grow up as specialists loyal to national and moral values and traditions of statehood, realizing this responsibility. Ramin Mammadov noted that the educational institutions created under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev as the next manifestation of the state's concern for the religious field have all conditions for the attachment of teenagers and young people to our national roots, upbringing in the spirit of patriotism, and growing up as national personnel.
Speaking at the event, Rector of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology Agil Shirinov noted that all necessary steps have been taken by the state in order for the students of the institute to acquire higher religious and secular sciences in accordance with the challenges of the modern era. In this educational institution with a high-level professional teaching staff, students have the opportunity to participate in free language courses, associations, as well as receive scholarships. A. Shirinov conveyed his recommendations to the young people and talked about the upcoming goals and objectives.
Mehman Ismayilov, director of Baku Theological College, said that the main goal of establishing the college is to provide training of qualified personnel in the field of organizing religious activities. In order to justify this trust, both the pedagogical staff and the students have important tasks.
Speaking later, the students expressed their gratitude to the country's leadership for the conditions created for the training of professional specialists in the institute and college.
In the end, valuable gifts were presented to the students who were admitted with high performance for the 2024/2025 academic year.
It should be noted that this year the admission plan for the bachelor's degree at the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology is fully filled. Thus, 42 students majoring in "Islamic Studies" and 36 students majoring in "Religious Studies" entered the institute. The admission plan of the Baku Theological College was 100 percent full and 20 students were admitted to the "Religious-spiritual service" specialty.
